An immersive digital dancing installation for young and old

Flow 612 is a musical, choreographic and kinetic experience devised for children aged 6 to 12. The title is inspired by the idea of colour, of nature taking its course, the verb 'to flow' and a nod to the 6-12 generation - three of the digits in the year 2016.

A multimedia object to dance to, Flow 612 is a digital device intertwining sound and light in an imaginary jungle environment. The installation consists of a circular metal structure onto which is attached a canvas printed with motifs that are gradually revealed during a 20-minute light show. Designed as a series of tableaus with sound and light play areas, this installation will appeal to old and young alike, as they are drawn in to watch the light fluctuating on the canvas and inspired to dance freely to the sounds that change subtly with their movements captured by 48 sensors.
