Scientific reporter on Radio France (France Info), Marie-Odile Monchicourt, will animate on Saturday, the 16th of June in the Mediatheque, a Round Table on the themes: science, art and health.
For the exhibition of Rodolphe Von Gombergh, radiologist and artist who hijacks medical imaging techniques to create a remarkable universe, speakers of the medical profession will approach the theme of “the necessity of creating for individual health as for the survival of the species ".
Hologram, 3D screens and (LEDS), cold light source diodes, Rodolphe Von Gombergh, uses and diverts 21st century tools to unveil the magic of bodies and objects. The Artist who combines medical applications with an artistic approach has applied, since 1993, on the basis of Virtual Life Art (VLA), a mixture of computer science, anatomy and art. Thanks to ultrasound, electromagnetic waves (MRI) and X-rays, the invisible is discovered. A journey into the human body, a fiction that becomes reality.
For this work, both technical and at the same time poetic and futurist, he adopts new props. The Artist blends substance and transparency and infers, using VLA, a 4th dimension, presenting our world as an illusion, a “Trans-apparence”. The gamer becomes a ‘guest of honour’ using a tablet and app, which will allow him to explore the human body. Children and the general public alike can test the porosity art/science highlighted by this Artist/Radiologist.
