Theme: the cellular manipulations
ORLAN created images of « herself » turning around her material to be and of her identities: DNA se-quencing, 3D self-portrait skinned, adversity in reality increased, 3D printing skull, cell cul-tures...
For BN#9, ORLAN and Maël Le Mée create together a performance where the public will face to the ORLAN-CORPS, unfolded in all the venue, in the form of biological samples, circulating between the spectators.
A digital performance allowing the public to perceive a naturally hybrid, foreign and nevertheless essential presence of any human identity: that of the millions of bacteria which allow it to exist.
With the intervention of :
• ORLAN : a world-famous French artist, a major figure of the body art, she used since the 70s numer-ous media and new technologies to make of her body the raw material and the visual tool of her works.
• Maël Le Mée : an interdisciplinary artist, he develops since 2002 a joyful practice between performances, installations and texts, questioning very seriously the technological relationships to bodies and alive, simulation and esthetics of the control.
